Individual Counselling for Anxiety, Self-Esteem
& Emotional Wellbeing
When the outside looks composed,
but the inside feels overwhelmed!
Anxiety does not always look dramatic. Sometimes it looks like overthinking simple decisions, needing reassurance, replaying conversations, struggling to rest, or living with a constant undercurrent of tension that rarely fully leaves.
Low self-esteem can be just as quiet. It can sound like self-criticism, second-guessing, people-pleasing, difficulty receiving care, or the feeling that no matter how much you do, it never quite feels enough.
For many people, the exhaustion comes not only from what they are feeling, but from how long they have been carrying it alone.
What we at HeartSpace gently
work through together
Each person’s inner world is different, but the work often
includes support around the following:
Anxiety and overthinking
A mind that rarely settles can make daily life feel harder than it should. At HeartSpace we understand you creating more space between your thoughts and your sense of self.
Low self-esteem and self-doubt
When your inner voice is consistently unkind, even ordinary moments can feel heavier. Counselling can help you move from harsh self-judgment toward a more grounded, compassionate, and stable sense of self-worth.
Stress and burnout
Sometimes what you call “stress” is actually the weight of prolonged emotional effort, constant responsibility. Therapy can help you recognise what is draining you and begin restoring a more sustainable way of living.
Emotional overwhelm
There are times when everything feels like too much, even if you cannot fully explain why. In counselling, we make room for what feels tangled, unnamed, or difficult to hold, without rushing it into neat answers.
Boundaries and people-pleasing
You may be deeply attuned to others and yet feel far away from yourself. Therapy can help you understand the patterns that keep you overextended, and support you in creating boundaries that are clearer, steadier, and kinder.
Life transitions and feeling unanchored
Periods of change often stir uncertainty, grief, inner conflict, or a quiet loss of direction. Counselling offers a reflective space to move through transition with more clarity, dignity, and self-trust.

Sometimes what you call “stress” is actually the weight of prolonged emotional effort, constant responsibility, and a nervous system that has had very little room to rest. Therapy can help you recognise what is draining you and begin restoring a more sustainable way of living.

What individual counselling
at HeartSpace feels like?
This is not a space where you are reduced to a label, hurried toward a breakthrough, or expected to explain yourself perfectly. It is a space where you can arrive as you are – thoughtful, uncertain, emotional, guarded or all of these at once.
Our work unfolds through conversation, reflection, emotional insight, and practical support. The intention is not simply to help you cope better, but to help you feel more connected to yourself.
What to expect
STEP 1
First session
We begin with what feels most present. What has been difficult, what has been lingering, what feels hard to name, and what may be calling for attention now.
STEP 2
Early sessions
As the work deepens, we begin to notice patterns — in your thoughts, relationships, emotional responses, expectations of yourself, and the ways you have learned to cope.
STEP 3
Ongoing work
Over time, therapy becomes a place not only for relief, but for reorientation: a quieter relationship with anxiety, a softer relationship with yourself, and a more grounded way of meeting life.

My approach to counselling
/Founders note
My work is grounded in evidence-based therapeutic practice and shaped by warmth, thoughtfulness, and emotional depth. I believe meaningful counselling is not only about insight, but about creating a space where insight can actually be felt, integrated, and lived.
Rather than relying on heavy psychological language, I aim to meet you in a way that is both clear and relatable. We pay attention to what hurts, what repeats, what protects you, and what longs to shift — always at a pace that feels respectful of your capacity and your story.
- You often appear capable on the outside while feeling anxious or overwhelmed internally.
- You are tired of overthinking, self-doubt, or being relentlessly hard on yourself.
- You long for a private space where you do not have to perform, explain, or stay composed.
- You want support that is emotionally attuned, intellectually grounded, and quietly transformative.
- You are ready to understand yourself more deeply and live with greater steadiness.

Frequently asked questions
Find answers to common questions about therapy and counseling services. Helping you feel informed and confident before starting your journey.
If something within you feels persistently strained, heavy, anxious, uncertain, or difficult to carry alone, counselling may offer a valuable place to begin.
No. Many people begin counselling not because everything has fallen apart, but because they no longer want to keep living in quiet distress.
Yes. These concerns often respond well to counselling that is both reflective and practical, especially when the work creates room for deeper understanding rather than surface-level coping alone.
The first session is a gentle beginning. We talk about what brings you here, what has been difficult, and what kind of support may feel most useful at this point in your life.
Confidentiality is a foundational part of therapeutic work, and any relevant limits are explained clearly at the outset.
You do not have to keep holding
this on your own
If you are feeling anxious, emotionally stretched, self-critical, or quietly overwhelmed, counselling can offer a place to pause, be met with care, and begin moving forward differently.
